Do technical writers search for jobs on the Internet? Probably yes, but do we know how many of professionals and beginners in technical writing and documentation authoring do it? We decided to get answers for these questions, and made a quick research.
Using Google AdWords and its Keyword Tool, we compared three keywords in several areas “technical writer jobs”, “technical writer work” and “technical writer vacancies”. These keywords are typcially used when searching for a job. We used these settings: “All Categories”, “Only show ideas closely related to my search terms and different locations”.

So, what we have found out is:
- “technical writer jobs” is the most popular of the three searches;
- more than 50% of those searches are made from the US;
- the “technical writer vacancies” search term is most popular in the United Kingdom.
Those are quite interesting findings, so make your conlusions!
